Have you ever hit a point where it felt like your christian experience was, well, boring, repetitive, and pretty much without meaning or inspiration.
Ever felt like a hypocrite because of all the bold protestations of faith you made in the past and now - they just lack passion or power?
Like someone sucked the wind out of the spiritual disciplines that used to mean so much?
Like it might be time to start doubting your faith and believing your doubts?
Most peope think this is a problem, though it is probably exacty the opposite. They "try" harder and work on "getting back". They are doing the same thing and expecting a different result. Unsurprisingly it doesn't work.
There is this curious teaching in the Old Testament about a new covenant. It pretty much says that when you feel all these things - there is almost certainly an invitation from God to a new and iving way.
The ony challenge is that the route to this new thing is through some pretty barren desert tracks.
Curious?
